Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Finding Balance Within
Sometimes we feel torn—like different parts of us are at odds. Internal Family Systems (IFS), developed by Dr. Richard C. Schwartz, (have a link here too) helps make sense of these inner conflicts by inviting you to get to know the different “parts” of yourself with curiosity and care.
IFS sees the mind as made up of parts—each with a unique voice and purpose. Some parts might be protective. Others might hold deep pain. And at the core is your Self—a calm, compassionate inner presence that can lead the way.

IFS Can Support:
- Inner conflict or self-sabotage
- Trauma and attachment wounds
- Anxiety, shame, or guilt
- Uncovering and healing younger parts
- Reclaiming self-trust and clarity
How It Works:
We start by getting to know the protective parts of you—those that work hard to keep you safe, even if their methods aren’t always helpful. As we build trust, we can gently explore the parts that carry pain or trauma, and begin the process of unburdening them.
At the center of this work is your Self—calm, curious, and wise. IFS helps you access that Self and lead from it, so your inner system feels more connected, less reactive, and more grounded.

Who It Helps
IFS is ideal for people who:
- Feel like they’re at war with themselves
- Want to understand their emotional triggers more deeply
- Have experienced trauma or emotional neglect
- Feel fragmented or disconnected from parts of themselves
- Want to cultivate more inner peace and clarity
